A 100-level undergraduate of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in Rivers State, Ami Ugochukwu, has been awarded a four-year comprehensive scholarship, N200,000 allowance and an award of excellence for his honesty and good conduct.
The student distinguished himself after returning a lost phone he found, which belonged to a staff of the institution without demanding any reward. The owner of the phone, who is a lecturer and the Director, Ideas, Creativity and Innovation, Patience Spenser, introduced him to the Vice-Chancellor, Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, who rewarded the 19-year-old student, saying the move was aimed at encouraging honesty among students.
