The program, which is scheduled to begin at exactly 10am on Today, Wednesday, 07th July, 2021 is going to be filled with a variety of activities ranging from Poetry to Comedy to music to dance, and it encompasses interactive sessions between the students and the school management, a discussion between the SU members and Officials, the media will also be a part of the nexus.
Literally, a press conference is an official meeting with the press (journalists) in order to have a rapport and keep the public abreast of necessary information.
The Nexus as it implies means important connection between the parts of a system or a group of things.
In our own context, THE NEXUS is going to be an interconnection of University management, Union Officials, Unilorites and the press. It's going to be an avenue for the SU officials to familiarize the general students with our blueprints for the administration as well as to discuss salient issues affecting students.
The program is going to be in three tiers:
- Management and Student Discourse
- SU Officials and Journalists discourse
- SU Officials and Students discourse
- Management-Student Discourse is where students would have a rapport with the University officials. It's going to be a discussion of salient issues affecting students on campus as well provision of solutions. Representatives of the Police would also be available.
- SU Official-Journalists discourse is an interactive session of the all SU officials (CEC, Senate & Judicial Council) with the press.
- SU Official-Students discourse is where the SU officials would discuss the blueprints of this administration with the general student and questions would be asked about the feasibility of these events. Also, ways with which the Union can serve it members better shall be discussed.
