MAN post UTME form
Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron, invites all the candidates who selected Academy as their First Choice institution and have scored the specified cut-off marks to attend the Post JAMB UTME screening exercise for National Diploma programmes as stated below.
Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.
Applicants are required to possess the following:
A minimum of 175 marks in the 2021/2022 UTME for:
- Nautical Science
- Marine Engineering and
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
A minimum of 160 marks in the 2021/2022 UTME for Maritime Transport and Business Studies.
A minimum of five (5) credit passes in Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent obtained in not more than two sittings within the LAST FIVE YEARS in relevant subjects.
Applicant MUST have the correct JAMB subject combinations for each course of Interest.

i- NAUTICAL SCIENCE
O-LEVEL SUBJECTS
Applicants Must possess Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include.
– Mathematics
– English Language,
– Physics
– Geography,
– and any other related Science subjects obtained within the last Five years in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
UTME Subject Combination:
o English Language
o Mathematics
o Geography
o Physics
O-Level Subjects
Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include:
– Mathematics;
– English Language,
– Physics,
– Chemistry
– and any other related Science subjects obtained within the last Five years in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS

o Chemistry
o Physics
iii. MARITIME TRANSPORT AND BUSINESS STUDIES
O-Level Subjects
Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include:
– Mathematics,
– English Language,
– Economics,
– Geography/Commerce.
– and any of Geography, Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting and Business Management obtained within the last Five years in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
UTME Subject Combination:
o English Language
o Mathematics
o Economics
o Geography/Commerce/Government/ Principles of Accounting
Physical and Medical Fitness:
Due to the peculiar requirements of the Institution and the maritime industry as well as International Convention on Standard of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) as amended which mandates all seafarer to be physically and mentally fit to work in the maritime industry, all applicants are expected to be physically and mentally fit to be able to withstand the rigours/challenges of the cadetship training.
Consequently, shortlisted candidates will be required to present themselves for physical and medical screening when invited.
Candidate should print-out Application Medical Examination Form (Form M) from the application portal. This form should be duly completed and signed before upload on the portal.
Candidate are expected to undergo the following medical tests at any Government Hospital and upload medical results on the application portal.
- PCV
- VDRL
- HBV
- HIV1/2
- PT (Pregnancy Test for Females)
- URINALYSIS
- GENOTYPE
- BLOOD GROUP
The results uploaded on the portal is subject to further confirmation when invited for Screening.
Marital Status:
Applicants must be single and shall remain single throughout the duration of the programme.
Age Limit for Each Programme
Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Marine Engineering must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as of 30th November 2021.
Candidates applying for Maritime Transport and Business Studies must be between the ages of 16 and 25 as of 30th November 2021.
How to Apply for MAN Post UTME
The online application will commence from 20th September 2021 – 19th October 2021.
Screening Fee: N2,000.00.
Eligible candidates should log on to the Academy website www.maritimeacademy.gov.ng and take the following steps:
Click on Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal
Login with UTME number as Username and Jamb Score as Password
Generate and Print the Payment Slip
Proceed to any of the banks listed on the application portal dashboard to make payment using eTranzact Payment Platform or pay online
Return to the Academy Portal to Complete the Registration Form.

ADVISORY:
