This came , following president Muhammad Buhari Order to Ministers seeking for a post in 2023 election. He had earlier said he will meet Buhari before deciding on his resignation.
Having met PMB, Chris Ngige announced the withdrawal of his interest and earlier decision to contest the office of the president in 2023 general elections.
He said the decision is for him to concentrate on his ministry job and for other family reasons.
Recall that the minister, cheif of staff to the president and other stakeholders met the striking University union over the prolonged Asuu strike.
