NIGERIA MARITIME UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES COMBINED MATRICULATION CEREMONY FOR 2019/2020, 2020/2021 & 2021/2022 SESSIONS

This is to inform all admitted students 2019/2020, 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic sessions, parents/guardians and the University Community that the combined Matriculation Ceremony of the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, 7th January 2023.

The Ceremony will take place at the Parade Ground, Nigeria Maritime University, Kurutie Campus, Warri South-West L.G.A, Delta State at 11.00a.m.

NMU announces combined matriculation ceremony for 2019/2020, 2020/2021 & 2021/2022 sessions
Matriculating Students should note that:

 Faculty Officers are requested to dispense academic gowns to their matriculating students as from Tuesday, 3rd January, 2023 after the payment of Five Thousand naira (N5, 000.00) only to the Bursary Department

 Gowns collected MUST be returned in good condition to their respective Faculties not later than Monday, 9th January, 2023

  Failure to do so, the Matriculating Students would pay a panel fee of Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) for each day the gown is retained

A penal fee of thirty thousand Naira (N30, 000.00), only would be charged as cost of replacement for any gown not returned or damaged; and

Matriculating students should further take notice that on no account must they rent their gowns to photographers as the University Chief Security Officer and Director of Regimentation have been directed to seize such gowns found with unauthorized persons.

The programme of activities is as follows:

11:00a.m. – Arrival of Guests at Kurutie Campus

11:30a.m. – Parade

11:50a.m. – Break

12:00noon –Procession

12:20p.m. – Vice Chancellor’s Address and Matriculation

12:50p.m. – Cultural Display

1:10p.m. – Goodwill Messages

1:20p.m. – Matriculation Ceremony closes

1:30p.m. – Matriculated Students sign and submit Matriculation Oaths

1:40p.m – Deputy Vice-Chancellor/Students’ Parents’ Interactive Session

All concerned students of the 2019/2020, 2020/2021 and 2020/2021 academic sessions are to take note and make adequate preparations to attend.

Matriculants and guests are expected to be seated by 10.30am.
