VC CONSOLES FAMILY OF LATE STUDENT, DECRIES RATE OF ACCIDENTS ON HIGHWAY

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed has lamented the high rate of fatal accidents involving students of the University on the newly constructed Keffi-Akwanga highway.

The Vice-Chancellor made the lamentation on Friday when he led management and SUG officials on a condolence visit to the family of late Khadija Isah Ogah who died on her way to school as a result of a road traffic accident on Tuesday 11th April 2023.

Professor Suleiman noted that since the dualization of the highway motorists have become very reckless in their operation resulting in injuries and deaths of students of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor who pleaded with the family to accept the death of Khadija as the will of Allah promised that the management of the University will further take more proactive measures to prevent such unfortunate incidents.

Responding on behalf of the family, Mallam Ibrahim Ari, thanked the management of the University for the show of love and concern extended to them during this very difficult period. He prayed to Allah to bless and reward them abundantly.

Prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased were offered by the Student's Affairs Officer, Barrister Ibrahim Jangwa.

The late Khadija Isah Ogah until her untimely death was a newly admitted student for the 2021/2022 academic session in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Administration.
