LASUDEF gifts 96-bed hostel to LASU

The Lagos State University Development Foundation has handed over a 96-bed units female hostel to the Lagos State University, Ojo.

Speaking during the unveiling, Chairman, Executive Committee, LASUDEF, Justice Solomon Hunponu-Wusu, said as an NGO, they aimed to assist the Lagos State Government by putting up complementary infrastructures.

He said “ I also want to use this opportunity to inform you that the foundation has begun the process of repeating similar gestures to the Lagos State Universities of Science and Technology and Lagos State University of Education”

“A desired by the distinguished members of LASUDEF, I would also crave the indulgence of our assiduous VC to please implement a policy wherein at least 30% of the female hostel would be reserved for indigenes of the state”.

The Vice-Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, commended LASUDEF for its efforts in providing the new hostel, which she called a ‘Magnanimous donation.’

She emphasised the value of a conducive living environment in promoting academic excellence and student welfare.

Ibiyemi assured that the new hostel would be put to optimal use and judiciously maintained for the benefit of the students
