The Kwara State Government has postponed the mid-term break for primary and secondary schools in the state.

The state Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, disclosed this on Tuesday in her office.

A statement by the ministry’s Press Secretary Peter Amogbonjaye, quoted the commissioner as saying that “the mid-term break that was earlier scheduled for Thursday 6th and Friday 7th June 2024, has been shifted to Thursday and Friday 13th and 14th June 2024.

“The reason for the postponement is to reduce the public holiday break for students to have more time for learning.:

The statement further encouraged the students to pay attention to their academic pursuits since education remains the only legacy that could be bequeathed to them by their parents.

“The government also assured members of the public that it will continue to promote quality education in the state,” the commissioner added.
