The project which is a new sit-out of the faculty of education at the front of EDLT opposite the mosque at the faculty is constructed by the Nigerian Universities Education Students' Association (NUESA) university of ilorin chapter, under the leadership of Comr. Shittu Ibrahim Olanrewaju, popularly and politically known as ALABERE.
The VC, Prof Egbewole, congratulated the, the Dean, the President of Nuesa, the executives, the faculty officers and other distinguished ladies and gentlemen at the unveiling of the new sit out. He also congratulated the Faculty of Education for training their students to be able to show that they are mentors to the young ones.
He also noted that the initiative will be a reference point for the students body in the faculty and He gave an assurance that the project will be properly utilized for the betterment of the faculty of education and university of ilorin at large.
He also appealed to the student executives to look for enduring and sustainable projects that will be invest on from the money contributed by the colleagues, so that it will be benefits for the people who actually paid the money.
The Dean of the faculty of Education, Prof L.A Yahya, while appreciating the vice chancellor, commended his efforts on the university and the principal officers of doing the wonderful job for making it positive. In his word 'We have sit-out but considering the numbers of students that we have, we believe that we should have more'. He also noted that the fund was used for something else differently last session and that's why he's keen on using the money for something different, this session.
Furthermore, the president of the faculty students association, (NUESA), in person of Comr. Alabere also appreciated the Vice chancellor and the principal officers for gracing the unveiling of the sit-out. He also noted that the project is to show the commitment in improving the welfarism of the students , staff and members of the faculty.
