WAEC, NECO to Migrate to Computer-Based Testing - FG reveals

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans to migrate all O'level examinations administered by WAEC and NECO to a Computer-Based Testing (CBT) mode over the next three years. This initiative, aimed at improving examination security, efficiency, and credibility, was disclosed in a statement by Boriowo Folasade, the Director of Press at the Federal Ministry of Education. 

The announcement came after a strategic meeting led by the Minister of Education, Mr. Maruf Alausa, which included key stakeholders such as the Registrars of JAMB and NECO, and the Head of WAEC’s National Office. During this meeting, the Minister reiterated the government's commitment to maintaining examination integrity and expressed a strong zero-tolerance policy towards examination malpractice, highlighting the need to protect the integrity of national assessments.
