Nigerian Army Announces Recruitment for 89 Regular Recruit Intake

The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of recruitment for the 89 Regular Recruit Intake (RRI) for both trades and non-trades men and women. The recruitment process, which is free of charge, will be conducted online via the Nigerian Army recruitment portal (https://recruitment.army.mil.ng) from March 31 to May 17, 2025.

Method of Application
Interested candidates are required to meet specific criteria and complete their registration online. The application process includes submitting required documents and meeting set eligibility conditions.

Basic Requirements
To be eligible for recruitment, applicants must:

1. Be single and a Nigerian citizen by birth, possessing a National Identity Card/NIN and BVN printout.
2. Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to Nigerian Army standards.
3. Be free from any criminal conviction.
4. Possess a valid birth certificate from the National Population Commission, hospital, or local government, or an age declaration.
5. Possess a valid certificate of state of origin.
6. Meet the height requirement: 1.68m for males and 1.65m for females.
7. Be between 18-22 years for non-tradesmen/women, and not more than 26 years for tradesmen/women as of June 30, 2025.
8. Have at least four passes including English Language in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS, obtained in not more than two sittings.
9. Tradesmen/women must additionally possess Trade Test/City and Guild Certificate as specified on the recruitment website.
10. Complete their registration online via https://recruitment.army.mil.ng within the stipulated time.

General Instructions

1. There will be no Pre-Selection Computer-Based Test.
2. No special centers for recruitment.
3. No Zonal Screening Exercise will be conducted.
4. All screening will take place at candidates’ respective states of origin.
5. Electronic or recording devices are not allowed at the screening venues.
6. Candidates must not have any tattoos or bodily inscriptions.
7. All candidates must present original copies of their educational certificates.
8. Candidates must not be members of any cult, society, or fraternity.
9. Any candidate found guilty of forgery or falsification of results will be withdrawn from training.
10. Candidates must not pay any form of gratification or bribe to anyone for assistance in the recruitment process.
11. Candidates must bring their NIN slip and BVN printout to the screening venue.
